Gallery Zoumboulaki introduces in the 31st of March 2009 the exhibition of a Dutch photographer, Ivo Eman।In this exhibition a series of photographs is presented that seem like dream scenes of lonely people in desert places while declaring a predesigned reality। The angle that is used gives the viewer the sensation that he is part of the image. The composition of the photographs has intense surrealism and humor.
Ivo Eman is inspired by ‘The Dream’, which is for him the battle between reality and desire. His work always narrates a story without making it too obvious. On the contrary his purpose is to put the spectator in the process of wondering what happens behind each image. This story on the long term creates roots in the subconscious since an important image comes back to mind and is a stimulant for thought and fantasy.
